Benjamin Yoel is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University, where he studies opposition resistance to democratic backsliding. His broader research interests include democratic backsliding, political violence, and authoritarian politics. He also works as an Editorial Assistant at the Journal of Politics and is a research fellow at the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research (IPPSR). Benjamin holds a BA in Government and an MA in Government, specializing in Conflict Studies, both from Reichman University in Israel.
