Starting in 2019, we coordinate a Democratic Erosion Summer Fellowship with the Chicago Center on Democracy and Dartmouth College to support student fellows from the consortium’s participating universities. Fellows expand and improve the Democratic Erosion Event Dataset (DEED), develop policy briefs in collaboration with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and other policy partners in the Fundamental Freedoms Fund (FFF) consortium, and further our research on democratic backsliding and resilience in the United States.
