Elizabeth Sperber

Elizabeth Sperber is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Denver. She specializes in comparative and international politics, with regional expertise in sub-Saharan Africa, and is currently completing a book manuscript about new Christian movements and democratization in sub-Saharan Africa. She also studies the political economy of development and has previously published work on international social policy. Sperber’s work received awards at both Columbia University and Brown University (her alma maters), and has appeared in journals such as the International Journal of Social Policy and the American Journal of Public Health, among others. She has received recognition at the University of Denver for her community-engaged teaching.
