Starting in 2019, we coordinate a summer internship with the Chicago Center on Democracy to support student fellows from the consortium’s participating universities. Interns expand and improve the Democratic Erosion Event Dataset (DEED), develop reports in collaboration with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and other policy partners in the Fundamental Freedoms Fund (FFF) consortium, and further our research on affective polarization in the United States.
